LNA Louisiana Notary Association Logo

The Louisiana Notary Association scholarship program offers an opportunity for LNA members to apply for a convention registration fee scholarship. This scholarship is to provide some assistance with the expenses associated with attending the convention.

Applicants must submit an essay about their interest in and commitment to the office of Notary Public and a description of their financial need as well as an article on a notarial topic of their choice to be published in the LNA’s annual Signed and Sealed publication.

Submission: Essays and articles should be submitted as a Word document or similar program attachment via email to convention@lna.org. Each member may submit one entry for consideration. The essay and article must be the applicant’s original work and has not been published elsewhere.

Deadline: The application deadline is August 15, 2019.

Length: Essays and articles should be no longer than 750 words each. Both the essay and article are required for scholarship consideration.

Eligibility: Applicants must be an Active or Student member of LNA at the time the application is submitted.

Judging: Applicants must have met all of the above requirements to be considered for the scholarship. The Convention Scholarship Committee will judge all entries.

Winner: One applicant will be selected and awarded a scholarship to attend the 2019 Convention, not including hotel accommodations. The winning article will be included in the LNA’s annual Signed and Sealed publication.

Applicants will be notified of the decision August 31, 2019.
